"Pitcher of Sunflowers"

I have finally finished the sunflower painting! It is bright and cheerful. The pitcher is an antique "Indian" design cobalt
pottery. I threw some coarse salt into the wet paint to get a textured effect. Please click on it for a detailed view. Most of the painting was done wet-into-wet, which gives some interesting play of colors. I also did some layering of washes.
Very pretty and cheerful! The sunflowers look like they've come straight out of my garden.
