A painting of rocks

Hi everyone,
When I was in Colorado, I took lots of photos of rocks! Instead of a grassy yard, most folks use beautiful rocks, not the whole yard, but in areas. It is easier, I suppose, to keep and is very attractive. So I was always walking around with my head down, taking photos of rocks! The colors were outstanding and many of them are almost perfectly round.
In this painting, I am playing with dry brush techniques. I will paint in all the rocks with washes and then do dry brush texture on them. You can see where this is heading. I will post the finished painting, hopefully tomorrow. Click on it to see the texture.
